Job Responsibilities
Develop and enforce governance policies, ensuring consistent usage, compliance and security across Microsoft 365 applications. (governance)
Lead the deployment of Microsoft 365 services. (deployment and migration)
Continuously assess and enhance M365 services, addressing performance issues, scalability and user experience. Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices whilst providing subject matter expertise in relevant domains. (performance optimization)
Identify opportunities to enhance central technology services and process optimization whilst working across various teams to improve service performance. (service optimization)
Collaborate with the Group Information Security team to implement security controls, data protection and compliance measures within M365. (security and compliance)
Oversee and align activities across the Microsoft suite including Exchange, OneDrive, Telephony, Backup, Rubrik and other platforms.
Work with the Governance & Adoption Lead to drive adoption of M365 tools across the organization, monitor usage analytics and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with business units to integrate M365 into existing workflows and identify opportunities for process optimization. (bus dev)
Collaborate with training teams to provide training, documentation and support to end-users promoting efficient and effective utilization of M365 tools. (user training and support)
Interact with Microsoft and other vendors to stay informed on updates, licensing, new features etc. (vendor mgmt.)
Integrate M365 with other systems, customize workflows and develop solutions using Power Platform, SharePoint and other tools. (integration and customization)
Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices whilst providing subject matter expertise in relevant domains. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose solutions. (technical expertise)
Oversee and manage a team, ensure collaboration and maximize effectiveness between the Central Technology Services team and regional / divisional IT teams. (team mgmt.)
Job Requirements
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, licensing and best practices (technical expertise)
Ability to influence and guide people through transitions, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. (change management)
Knowledge of Azure AD, SharePoint, Teams and related technologies. (technical acumen)
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. (communication and collaboration)
Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and ability to navigate relationships across departments / business units. (communication)
Demonstrable experience (8+ years) of leading a platform management team including the running of BAU protocols & procedures, with experience of leading technology platform projects, management of timelines, risks etc.
Relevant 3rd level qualification, preferably at Masters' level or alternatively have significant experiential knowledge to offset formal qualification.
