    Position summary

    based in Clevedon, Regional Travel 50/50 On-Site and Remote

    Hours - 37.5 hours

    Responsible for: Leading the nationwide sales team to meet the sales budget set for Hydro International's UK business.

    This role will require travel throughout Scotland, England, Wales, supporting both specification managers and regional sales managers. Candidates must be willing to work in all regions and be available to assist as needed.

    Competence & Qualifications:

    • Extensive experience leading commercial sales teams, preferably in the UK Stormwater and Wastewater industry or related sectors as Highways with highways product experience.

    • Successful track record in selling capital equipment in municipal markets and engaging in specification sales across residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

    • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and self-motivation.

    • Proficiency in developing and executing sales strategies, with a comprehensive understanding of operational, financial, and commercial considerations.

    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Proficiency in computerized systems for customer relationship management and financial oversight.

    • A BSc degree (or equivalent) in Sales, Business Administration, or a relevant field is required.

    • Heavy Civils experience.

    • Be willing to travel throughout the region.

    Key Duties:

    • Lead UK nationwide sales team to promote sales in the territory, building relationships, identifying specific opportunities, defining customer requirements, and developing strategy to achieve the sales budget for the business

    • Define and manage the work of the sales team to enable the sales objectives of the Business to be achieved

    • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Negotiate and close agreements with key customers. Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

    • Monitor and analyse performance metrics, recommending enhancements where necessary.

    • Prepare and provide monthly, quarterly and annual and forecasts for the Europe Sales Director

    • Provide monthly Sales & Marketing reports to the Managing Director (Europe) on the activity of the sales team including progress against targets, strategic objectives, and other relevant issues.

    • With the Management Team, develop and maintain a rolling 3 year business plan, including the establishment, implementation and monitoring of strategic objectives developed from specific commercial sales & marketing activities, relevant systems improvement and personnel development plans for the Business

    • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board. Liaise with Marketing to ensure brand consistency

    • Recruitment of new team members as required.

    • To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act. Including compliance with BS18001 requirements.

    • To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and ISO14001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility.

    • Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
