    About the role

    We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Project & Process Engineer to join our Operation team based in Ternat, Belgium

    Purpose of the position

    Directing and defining the Continuous Improvement (CI) program within the sites in Belgium. This includes mapping, developing, and optimizing processes, as well as steering and determining operational projects in Belgium.

    Key Tasks & Responsibilities

    Strategic:

    • Develop and implement the CI program in consultation with various managers within the site.

    • Follow up on projects from start to finish

    Operational :

    • Manage multiple projects: Lead both large and small projects from start to finish in operations.

    • Own projects from design to execution, crafting custom solutions.

    • Provide expert insights: Analyze and offer optimal designs that exceed client needs.

    • Engage with stakeholders, management, and contractors to ensure project success.

    • Collaborate with colleagues and the wider operation teams to ensure project success.

    • Develop, layout, and optimize industrial processes.

    • Collect and analyze data.

    • Design, test, and implement new or improved processes.

    • Together with the internal team, build stability and productivity on critical machines.

    • Support CI projects and Kaizen initiatives in the workplace.

    • Implement best practices from other CRH sites.

    • Help the site transition to Industry 4.0.

    • Supporting automation projects

    Staff:

    • Supervise operational projects from start to finish and implement them together with the site team.

    • Responsible for training related to Kaizen, VSM, and CI projects.

    • Supervise CI projects from start to finish and implement them together with the site team.

    Key functional competencies

    • Education: Engineering education.

    • Experience: Process improvements, Lean tools, project management.

    • ICT Knowledge: ERP knowledge, drawing packages, programming tools for robots, Power BI.

    • Languages: Dutch, French, English.

    • Other: Analytical skills, technical insight, and the ability to work with deadlines are a must.
