    Position summary

    Employment Type: Full time, Permanent

    Responsible for: Achieving sales with builder's merchants and contractors while representing the company's interests within the designated area.

    Physical Requirements: Drivers Licence Required

    Passport Required

    Experience & Industry Knowledge:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in drainage product sales (heavy civil sales).

    • Proven background in sustainable drainage sales.

    • Experience selling to:

    • Builders' merchants

    • Main contractors

    • Groundwork contractors

    • Strong understanding of stormwater storage, flow control, and treatment products.

    • Excellent knowledge of the local construction marketplace, its structure, and key customers.

    • Must have experience working with premium products

    Competence & Qualifications:

    • Significant experience in solution selling and key account management with merchants and contractors in the construction industry (drainage and heavy civils).

    • Engineering degree desirable.

    Skills & Attributes:

    • Ability to manage a territory, develop sales, build relationships, and work independently.

    • Proven track record of achieving sales and building a strong customer base.

    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with people from all backgrounds.

    • Self-motivated and professional.

    • Capable of following up on projects and closing sales.

    • Understanding of specifications and premium product positioning.

    Key Duties:

    1 . Implement the regional merchant and contractor plan to achieve sales within the designated area, working with the Sales & Marketing Manager and Regional Technical Manager.

    2 . Manage relationships with merchant and contractor customers, building partnerships, identifying needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires regular use and upkeep of Goldmine and MS Dynamics CRM.

    3. Promote sales in the territory by identifying opportunities, defining customer requirements, negotiating terms, and closing deals.

    4. Work closely with headquarters staff to provide seamless service and drive sales growth.

    5. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, particularly the Health and Safety at Work Act.

    6. Apply the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 as appropriate within areas of responsibility.

    7. Perform any other duties reasonably required by the company.
