    Role Overview:

    We're looking for a proactive and team-oriented Pre-Order Proposal Engineer to join our team. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role responsible for producing accurate design proposals and quotations for our stormwater range of products including the Hydro-Brake® Flow Controls.

    Ideal candidates will come from a drainage, water or manufacturing background, be confident handling technical product queries, and enjoy collaborating closely with internal teams and external clients.

    Skills & Attributes:

    • Previous experience in internal sales, ideally in the water or manufacturing industry.

    • Strong numeracy skills with the ability to apply basic calculations to support accurate quoting.

    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

    • A team player who collaborates well across departments.

    • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

    • High level of customer service skills to be able to communicate effectively and negotiate confidently with our customers.

    • Be able to interpret drainage drawings - Preferred

    • General IT competency: experience with CRM systems is an advantage.

    • Valid driver's licence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Respond promptly to incoming enquiries via phone, email, and web regarding our range of stormwater management products.

    • Follow-up with customers via the telephone and email to win orders

    • Produce technical designs, proposals, and accurate quotations based on customer requirements.

    • Apply basic engineering knowledge to interpret and calculate flow rate, head, and sizing requirements.

    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery details with customers.

    • Ensure proposals are delivered in a timely and professional manner.

    • Maintain and update CRM/NAV systems with accurate sales and proposal information.

    • Collaborate closely with other team members, including Engineering and Sales, to ensure customer satisfaction.

    • Comply with relevant legislation and standards including the Health and Safety at Work Act and BS EN ISO 9001.
