e for ensuring accurate financial accounting of supplier transactions, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving efficiency across the P2P cycle. This role will report to the Purchase to Pay Director for the Midsouth Materials region and be responsible for a variety of accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile key P2P-related accounts, including AP subledgers, GR/IR, and accruals
Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company accounting policies
Prepare journal entries for month-end adjustments, reclassifications, and corrections
Review month close activities related to AP and P2P, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and process explanations
Review vendor master data changes for accuracy and compliance
Complete month-end duties in adherence to strict deadlines
Prepare reports and ad-hoc analysis.
Manage the PO writers for the Midsouth region
Identify and drive process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes and reporting
Partner across accounting and operations to provide financial reporting to support business decisions
Coordinate/approve payment runs
Other accounting responsibilities as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of the Purchase to Pay process, accounting principles, and internal controls
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex invoice and accounting issues
