Key Responsibilities
Champion a strong employee-driven safety culture, ensuring the highest standards across all operations.
Directly manage shop foremen and guide technicians, implementing best-in-class repair processes for maximum fleet uptime.
Review, verify, and approve technician time entries, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
Identify, schedule, and facilitate impactful training programs to support technician growth and expertise.
Strategically determine and oversee outsourced repairs, balancing cost, shop and technician capacity, and competency.
Leverage CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) to define, track, and optimize work order processes and equipment repairs.
Oversee the annual inspection process, driving scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local MSHA and DOT regulations, including annual inspections.
Maximize the use and value of national and local sourcing programs within the shop and fleet.
Carefully review and approve purchases, utilizing the Proactis process for cost control and accountability.
Develop and enforce a safe, effective tire program in line with National OMG guidelines and divisional recommendations.
Foster strong communication with all business lines and operations to ensure equipment availability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate on fleet forecasting and right-sizing to meet company objectives with input from all stakeholders.
Promote a culture of urgency and excellence in repairs to maximize uptime and productivity.
Utilize sourcing input on major purchases and agreements for optimal value.
Demonstrate regular, reliable attendance and flexibility to adapt to business needs.
Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience with electronic equipment management systems preferred.
P&L responsibility and experience in mining, construction, or manufacturing a plus.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required.
Work Requirements
Must be 18 years or older; able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
Commitment to all safety requirements and procedures, including use of PPE (e.g., face shield, safety shoes, coveralls).
Willingness to travel, work nights and weekends as needed, and assist teammates for mutual success.
Maintain current driver's license meeting state requirements.
Adherence to OSHA and MSHA regulations at all times.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Able to use hands/fingers, talk, and hear; vision (corrected) including close and distance focus.
Frequent standing, walking, and sitting; occasional climbing, crawling, kneeling, and bending.
Exposure to moving machinery, chemicals, outdoor weather, heights, and potential electrical risks.
Work environment may range from moderate to loud noise levels.
