To engage and build strong links with key external customers in all therapeutic areas of involvement at CSL. To lead in communicating and discussing both the depth of science behind CSL's medicines and develop strategic partnerships to facilitate the quality use of our medicines
The MSL provides medical expertise to ensure optimal scientific positioning and communication for disease and products. Responsible for HCP engagement seeking advice and supporting education, scientific exchange, and research with respect to disease state and company's products. Identifies unmet medical needs and reinforces the patient focus of all medical activities. Collaborates closely with Marketing and Market Access/HEOR.
Ensures medical activities and materials related to the company's products are compliant with corporate policies and the code of responsible business practice and government/industry regulations.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1 Interaction with Medical and Scientific Community including Evidence and Insight Generation
Acquire and maintain a level of medical-scientific knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) related to CSL Behring's products. Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Gather and evaluate new information as it applies to CSL Behring's products and areas of therapeutic interest.
Identify appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) with which to develop professional relationships to ensure exchange of medical-scientific information relevant to CSL Behring's products and areas of therapeutic interest.
Engage and build strong links with key external customers in all therapeutic areas of involvement at CSL. To lead in communicating and discussing both the depth of science behind CSL's medicines and develop strategic partnerships to facilitate the quality use of our medicines
Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g. HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.).
Provides medical information to internal sources and educates outside health professionals and the public in the use of CSL products
Execute continuing education workshops, ABMs, seminars, and programs for HCPs
Contributes to periodic updates of local Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) and responses to standard letters to further knowledge of products and related topics
Facilitate speaker development and involvement locally and internationally;
Ensure communications are tracked in appropriate systems to ensure CSL Behring is compliant with good governance and transparency regulations
Provide areas of interest and general high-level information regarding CSL Behring's Investigator Study (IIS) Program process in response to unsolicited requests. Monitor and communicate progress for those IISs approved and supported.
Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference setting interactions
Attend scientific and medical meetings.
Deliver approved educational programs and training to relevant internal functions
2 Compliance and Governance
Provide functional governance and compliance input to internal partners when requested, regarding proper information dissemination, documentation, labeling and review of promotional materials
Provide functional input on issues regarding compliance with corporate policies and the code(s) of responsible business practice and government/industry regulations. Final decisions to be made by the activity leader.
Ensure all medical activities implement in timely and scientific manner in compliance with corporate policies and the code of responsible business practice and government/industry regulations
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Education
Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as medical, pharmacy, biotechnology, nursing or life science.
Experience
At least 5 years of appropriate experience with demonstrated relevant competencies required to qualify for this role.
Prior experience providing MSL level support.
