The Role:
Acquire and maintain an advanced level of clinical-scientific knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) related to CSL's products. Maintain a basic level of clinical-scientific knowledge about the broader portfolio of CSL`s products and the diseases they treat.
Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Gather and evaluate new information as it applies to CSL's products and areas of therapeutic interest.
Identify and engage appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in objective-based interactions with which to develop professional relationships and exchange clinical-scientific information relevant to CSL`s products and areas of therapeutic interest.
Provide areas of interest and general high-level information regarding CSL's Investigator Study (IIS) program process in response to unsolicited requests. Monitor and communicate progress for those IISs approved and supported.
Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference setting interactions.
Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g. HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.).
Attend scientific and medical meetings.
Deliver approved educational programs and training to relevant internal functions.
Delivery of special medical projects may be required.
Your Skills & Abilities:
Degree in nursing, pharmacy, or advanced degree in science/medicine. (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred
3-5 years' relevant pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry experience.
Required fluency in Spanish and English, oral and written, to include the ability to read and write emails and communicate effectively with global colleagues.
Prior experience providing MSL level support to products in specific therapeutic area.
Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Works independently with minimal supervision to achieve operational targets with direct impact on departmental results.
May manage projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision.
Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.
Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex, sometimes requiring understanding of broader set of issues.
May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
Select jobs may have formal supervisory responsibilities for support employees.
