    Position summary

    ssments will reduce the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns and improve overall vehicle performance.

    • Team Collaboration: Assisting more experienced technicians with diagnostics and repair plans will enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.

    • Accurate Documentation: Completing required documentation accurately will ensure proper tracking of work, time, and warranty claims, contributing to operational transparency and accountability.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Strong Diagnostic Skills: The ability to translate customer complaints into effective troubleshooting plans and use specialized tools and software to isolate and resolve issues accurately.

    • Proficiency with Electronic Tools: Familiarity with the suite of hardware and software tools required for service events, and the ability to interpret their results to determine the next steps for service resolution.

    • Comprehensive System Knowledge: A deep understanding of the interactions between various engine systems (electrical, mechanical, exhaust, fuel, etc.) to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.

    • Attention to Detail and Documentation: The capability to follow repair guidelines meticulously, document all troubleshooting and repair steps accurately, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/ Experience

    • Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred).

    • Locally valid driving permit

    • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

    • Minimum of N2 certificate mechanical.

    • Minimum of 2 years working experience post apprentice.

    • Diesel mechanic trade test certificate or millwright trade test certificate.

    • Experience working on engines.
