    Position summary

    • Decision Making: Make informed decisions on system design, requirements, calibration, and testing, impacting the quality and performance of product features and components.

    • Collaboration: Work with customers, technical teams, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers to gather input and deliver quality product decisions.

    • Independent Execution: Execute established work processes independently while developing your technical knowledge and contributing to system and process improvements.

    • Team Contribution: Effectively contribute to team goals, influence within your work group, and coordinate work among technicians or temporary employees as needed.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in electrical and electromagnetic design and analysis, particularly with synchronous generators, induction motors, and permanent magnet motors.

    • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with global engineering teams, contributing to process, tests, and tools development for technical excellence.

    • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in applying statistical methods to analyze technical data and make data-driven decisions, including using descriptive statistics, regression, and design of experiments.

    • Product Development Knowledge: Experience in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing product development activities, ensuring alignment with requirements and technical profiles, and managing project risks.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/ Experience:

    • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronic Engineering is needed for the role.

    • Prior entry level electrical engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required.

    • Product specialty area of electrical generators and motors by applying background knowledge of electrical engineering, electromagnetism of ferromagnetic materials and permanent magnets in design and analysis will be required for this role.

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MATLAB & SIMULINK, and Electrical machine design and analysis tools, such as SPEED, ANSYS Motor CAD, ANSYS Maxwell, SIMULIA Opera, or equivalent design & analysis tool are preferred

    • Entry level/Early career professional.

    • Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in either a temporary student employment environment (intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities) or as an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area
