    RESPONSIBILITIES

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Strong Diagnostic Skills: The ability to translate customer complaints into effective troubleshooting plans, using mechanical and electronic service tools, and diagnostic software to isolate and resolve issues accurately.

    • Comprehensive Understanding of Engine Systems: Knowledge of how internal and external electrical and mechanical systems interact, and the ability to use tools and service publications to diagnose and repair these systems efficiently.

    • Proficiency in Product Repair and Maintenance: Skills in repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical products, following guidelines to ensure quality repairs, and performing inspections and replacements to minimize costs and restore products to their pre-failure condition.

    • Effective Technical Escalation: The capability to gather and utilize technical issue information, escalate complex problems appropriately, and document all troubleshooting steps to ensure accurate and timely resolution of customer issues.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/ Experience:

    • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

    • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

    • Knowledge of Cummins engines would be an advantage.

    • Locally valid driving permit

    • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

    • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
