    Position summary

    1. Work with hardware and software engineers to incorporate functional safety requirements into system architectures.

    2. Conduct safety assessments and audits to ensure compliance with functional safety standards.

    3. Offer technical guidance on functional safety-related challenges to project teams.

    4. Develop safety concepts and requirements for new automotive technologies.

    5. Remain up-to-date with functional safety advancements and automotive industry standards.

    6. Evaluate existing architectures and functional safety implementations.

    7. Suggest and implement remediation architectures and Proof of Concepts for field issues.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Technical Skills

    1. Proficiency in automotive and off-highway domain functional safety concepts and communication protocols (e.g., UDS/CAN, J1939, LIN, Ethernet).

    2. Expertise in embedded systems programming (C/C++, Python) with a focus on FuSa (Functional Safety).

    3. Experience in functional safety implementation testing.

    4. Understanding of the interaction between vehicle systems from a functional safety perspective.

    5. Knowledge of industry trends and technology roadmaps for automotive FuSa.

    6. Familiarity with ISO 26262 design methodologies, hazard analysis, and electronic control module implementations.

    7. Basic knowledge of cloud services within vehicle control modules.

    8. Awareness of ISO 21434, AIS 189/190, and related cybersecurity standards.

    9. Familiarity with "V" model and sprint work methodologies.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualifications

    1. Education : Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field is required. A Master's degree may be preferred for specific roles.
    • Experience : Early career professionals with relevant experience in internships, co-ops, or technical roles are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years in automotive functional safety implementations, preferably with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
