The engineer provides advanced operational support, drives automation initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to strengthen Azure platform reliability and governance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    Platform Automation & Deployment

    • Design, automate, and deploy Azure resources using IaC tools such as Terraform , ARM templates/Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.

    • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Pipelines/YAML) and GitHub Actions.

    • Develop reusable modules to standardize deployments and reduce manual effort.

    • Work closely with application teams to translate requirements into secure and scalable Azure infrastructure.

    Operations & Troubleshooting

    • Provide L3 operational support escalation for incidents and problems, including 24x7 rotational support coverage.

    • Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, networking, identity, storage, and application integrations.

    • Drive technical root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

    Monitoring, Logging & Observability

    • Configure and manage Splunk, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Sentinel.

    • Create dashboards, alerts, and observability pipelines to improve visibility and performance.

    • Ensure proactive monitoring for platform reliability and uptime.

    Networking & Security

    • Design and manage Azure VNets, subnets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Application Gateway, and Azure Firewall.

    • Implement RBAC, Azure AD integrations, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, and security baselines.

    • Apply tagging strategies, Azure Policies, and Management Group governance.

    Automation & Scripting

    • Build automation using Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Logic Apps, Automation Accounts, and Runbooks.

    • Implement self-service workflows supporting platform maturity and operational efficiency.

    Containers & Orchestration

    • Support containerized workloads using AKS, ACI, Docker, Helm charts, and ingress controllers.

    • Assist with Kubernetes fundamentals and Azure-native container services.

    Cost Optimization & Governance

    • Utilize Azure Cost Management + Billing to analyze spend and drive optimization initiatives.

    • Implement governance using Azure Policies, Management Groups, and tagging standards.

    • Partner with platform teams to ensure cost-efficient architectural decisions.

    Compliance & DevSecOps

    • Apply Azure Blueprints, Defender for DevOps, and regulatory frameworks (CIS, ISO, NIST).

    • Enforce Azure Well-Architected principles across operational and deployment practices.

    • Maintain security posture and ensure compliance across environments.

    Collaboration & Documentation

    • Work in Agile delivery environments using Azure Boards or Jira for backlog and sprint management.

    • Document architectures, runbooks, operational procedures, and platform standards using Confluence/SharePoint.

    • Collaborate closely with Cloud Ops, Engineering, Security, Network, and Application teams.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • More than 5 years of hands-on experience in Azure platform engineering, automation, operations support, troubleshooting, and resource deployment through CI/CD pipelines

    • Experience supporting 24x7 environments with L3 incident and problem management responsibilities.

    • Strong technical background in Azure services, scripting, networking, and security best practices.

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

    • Advanced English Level

    Preferred (Desirable):

    Google, AWS, Azure, Oracle, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, CompTIA, and other Cloud Development Certifications are preferred.
