    Position summary

    Manufacturing Operations & Line Quality

    • Lead resolution of manufacturing line quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.

    • Improve cycle time, productivity, and throughput of production lines.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams (CFT) to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

    • Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation and standardized work.

    Continuous Improvement & Benchmarking

    • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives using Lean and waste-reduction methodologies.

    • Benchmark best practices across plants and global regions to improve performance.

    • Utilize digital tools and manufacturing analysis-led design principles to simulate and optimize manufacturing processes.

    Global & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with global teams on inter-region projects and manufacturing standardization initiatives.

    • Lead communication and influence stakeholders including business leaders, functional teams, and external partners.

    • Coach and support key stakeholders to ensure project and operational success.

    Safety, Ergonomics & Compliance

    • Lead ergonomic improvements and workstation design enhancements aligned with Cummins ergonomic guidelines.

    • Drive machine guarding improvements to ensure compliance with safety standards.

    • Support IATF and other quality audits to ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems.

    • Champion proactive health and safety behaviors to promote an injury-free workplace.

    Technical & Engineering Leadership

    • Interpret product and equipment drawings to design optimal manufacturing processes.

    • Lead equipment/capital procurement aligned with manufacturing specifications.

    • Oversee tool and fixture design to ensure functional and quality requirements are met.

    • Apply advanced manufacturing principles to improve equipment capability and process robustness.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field, or equivalent experience.

    • May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

    Skills

    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and industrial engineering principles.

    • Experience handling VPI projects and ensuring manufacturing readiness.

    • Proven ability to resolve line quality issues using structured problem-solving tools.

    • Expertise in cycle time reduction, productivity improvement, and OEE enhancement.

    • Knowledge of IATF and quality audit requirements.

    • Proficiency in change management and cross-functional collaboration.

    • Understanding of ergonomic process design and machine guarding standards.

    • Capability in manufacturing simulation, digital tools, and analysis-led design.

    • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder influence skills.

    • Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

    Experience

    • Intermediate level of relevant manufacturing or engineering experience required.

    • Experience leading capital projects, equipment implementation, or process changes.

    • Demonstrated success in improving line performance, productivity, and OEE.

    • Experience working with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders preferred.

    • Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments and audit processes preferred.
