    Position summary

    n the Trade Strategy and Operations organization! The Analytics Senior Manager of Trade Industry Analysis role is a highly visible opportunity in our Trade Value Strategy team, responsible for delivering impactful analyses to advance performance and profitability for both clients and the CVS enterprise.

    As the prescription drug landscape changes with new therapies, an evolving policy landscape, and increasing pressure to reduce pharmaceutical costs, the right person for this role is a highly motivated, forward-thinker who can proactively create analytics to evaluate opportunities and inform business strategies. You will use your abilities to translate analyses into actionable insights and recommendations for Trade Value Strategy Leadership and the broader Trade organization.

    You will influence business decisions by evaluating innovative strategies to optimize performance in response to external pharmaceutical market events and internal CVS initiatives. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with other functional areas to identify and address risks and opportunities to multiple CVS business segments and our external stakeholders.

    Additional responsibilities will be to:

    • Design, develop, and deliver analytic solutions to inform trade strategies and evaluate opportunities that will improve client, PBM, and CVS enterprise performance

    • Understand and assess financial impacts of formulary strategies, pharma contract changes, public policy changes, and other market events

    • Collaborate with Trade Relations, Formulary Strategy, and Trade Finance teams to investigate opportunities to optimize rebate value and drive lowest net cost for clients

    • Determine financial implications of trade initiatives and potential strategies across multiple CVS business segments to inform an enterprise-wide view, including impacts to rebates, net cost, and pharmacy margins

    To be successful, you should possess:

    • Expertise in querying, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets

    • Experience working in past-faced matrix environments requiring management of multiple priorities

    • Experience developing analyses and presentations to explain business issues and/or recommend strategies

    • Strong problem solving, analytical, oral, and written communication skills

    • Ability to effectively engage with internal stakeholders of varying backgrounds, demonstrating deep analytical understanding in a consumable way

    **Will consider 100% remote from anywhere in the US. Residence within a commutable distance to one of the following offices is preferred:

    MA - Boston, Wellesley

    Required Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in healthcare, finance, or analytics; graduate-level education may substitute for experience

    • 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, which may include PBMs, manufacturers, or related life sciences consulting

    • Experience manipulating and analyzing data from large databases using SAS, SQL or other appropriate software

    • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel-based modeling

    • Advanced capabilities using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 5+ years experience with prescription drug rebates, formulary strategies, and/or pharmaceutical pricing strategy & market access

    • Knowledge of the evolving pharmaceutical regulatory environment

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare, business, or related field required; or equivalent experience
    • MBA or Master's Degree preferred

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $75,400.00 - $190,700.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
