    Provides strategic leadership and oversees the digital engineering function, AetnaHealth FindCare, which enables members to search and access care options based on their personal preferences. Manages a team of engineers, defines technical strategies and roadmaps, ensures successful project delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Coordinates with stakeholders, allocates resources, drives technical excellence, and creates alignment between business goals and technical solutions to ensure continuous improvement of digital engineering capabilities within the organization.

    What you will do

    • Provides leadership and expertise in transforming the FindCare search experience for all AetnaHealth members.

    • Oversees and manages FindCare search engineering projects and programs, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

    • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the FindCare engineering strategy and roadmap aligned with the organization's goals.

    • Evaluates and leverages AI technologies including LLMs, RAG and agentic solutions etc. to enhance the FindCare search experiences.

    • Establishes and maintains quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices within FindCare engineering.

    • Drives innovation initiatives within AetnaHealth engineering, promoting a culture of creativity, experimentation, and learning.

    • Ensures adherence to coding standards, software development methodologies, and testing practices to deliver high-quality solutions.

    • Contributes to long-term planning, technology adoption strategies, and innovation initiatives to drive transformation.

    • Leads a team of AetnaHealth engineers and technical professionals, and provides guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their success and professional growth.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of work experience in building large scale distributed systems.
    • 5+ years of experience in leading search solutions - retrieval of information with high relevancy and low latency.
    • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
    • Adept at business intelligence
    • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
    • Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision. Self-directed
    • Exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and time management abilities
    • Experience with optimization skills to improve performance, scalability, and usability of our applications
    • Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, structural design, and system optimization
    • Experience with agile development, SAFe Agile

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
