Leverages expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
Contributes to solution design and architecture discussions, collaborating with architects and senior engineers.
Provides input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives.
Participates in code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
Communicates and coordinates with team members to ensure alignment, provide technical insights, and contribute to decision-making processes.
Contributes to the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and code quality.
Participates in knowledge sharing activities, such as code reviews, tech talks, and workshops, to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
Works with other developers and team members to implement complex features, enhance existing functionality, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
Provides guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and grow professionally.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of experience with building secure and reliable kubernetes platform from dev to production
5+ years experience with CNCF packages like Istio, Kiali, Opa, Ingress gateway as well as deploying, managing, upgrading at scale on large volumes of kubernetes cluster and using these packages efficiently
3+ years of experience running production workloads on GKE or other similar platforms like AKS, EKS, RKE or openshift having deep understanding of helm charts
3+ years of experience managing Argocd, Github Actions or any other CI/CD tool
2+ years of experience with Terraform and other IAC tools
2+ years of experience managing secrets with hashicorp vault or similar products to manage code securely
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong understanding of application and platform developer needs and experiences
Experience developing micro services, with a heavy interest in helping other engineers achieve the same
Experience working in an environment using Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe agile frameworks
Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure kubernetes mutation and validation webhooks
Experience creating pipelines and automation to deploy dockerized applications onto Kubernetes clusters using Gitops
Experiencing doing POC on CNCF open source projects
Excitement learning from and helping mentor other members of the team as well as across the organization
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field) or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)BUSINESS OVERVIEW

The typical pay range for this role is:$106,605.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
