nd the other 50% acting as a Product Owner for our API team-driving product strategy, managing backlogs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality API experiences.Key Responsibilities:
API Documentation (50%)
Write, edit, and maintain comprehensive API documentation, including reference guides, tutorials, and integration examples.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and UX designers to understand technical requirements and translate them into user-friendly content.
Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the latest API releases.
Own the structure and usability of the Developer Portal, continuously improving the developer experience.
Create content standards and style guides for API documentation.
Product Ownership (50%)
Serve as the Product Owner for the API team, managing the product backlog and prioritizing features based on business and developer needs.
Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for internal and external APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, marketing, and customer support.
Gather and analyze feedback from stakeholders and users to inform product decisions.
Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a product owner or product management role.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth, and developer workflows.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Markdown, and static site generators.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably with a focus on APIs or developer tools.
Background in software development or computer science.
Experience working with API gateways, SDKs, or API management platforms.
Knowledge of analytics tools to measure documentation usage and effectiveness.

The typical pay range for this role is:$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
