About the Team
The NV Retail Team plays a critical role in scaling DoorDash's shopping experience for retail customers. We are iOS, Android, web, and backend engineers working with cross functional partners on retail categories like Apparel, Electronics, Beauty, Pets, and many others, iterating and expanding on top of DoorDash's platform.
The team focuses on building features on the shopping surfaces for customers to browse, explore, and see details of retail products, giving users the right level of information they need to make the decision of purchasing an item on the platform. We want to build the best shopping experience that is tailored for each of the categories we sell, while still defining standards across the app for how we merchandise those items.

About the Role
Frontend Engineers at DoorDash help design and build beautiful, intuitive user interfaces for our web applications to create the best delivery experience possible. Product focused Engineers work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to solve key business problems with elegant technical solutions. You'll work with both technical and business teams to build features that keep our users top of mind.
This role is hybrid with some in-office time expected and will report to an Engineering Manager.

B.S., M.S. or PhD in relevant field
4+ years of industry experience
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility, progressive enhancement and graceful degradation, responsive design, website performance, and accessibility.
Experience architecting large-scale frontend applications
Mastery of the foundations of the web: vanilla JS, HTML5, CSS3
Experience with React/Redux, or similar frameworks
Experience with documentation, unit and integration testing
