Build and support world-class safety and security platforms using leading-edge technologies
Extend platform observability by designing telemetry, alerting, and metrics dashboards to ensure uptime, performance, and response agility
Develop APIs and integration layers between safety systems (access control, video management, mass notification) and central enterprise platforms
Use SQL and visualization tools (e.g., Sigma) to drive real-time operational awareness and reporting
Engineer self-healing and automated responses for fault detection, escalation, and resolution
Deploy infrastructure and observability solutions to the cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and on-prem environments
Establish data pipelines that collect, enrich, and analyze signals from sensors, IoT devices, and infrastructure
Champion and drive security, compliance, and resilience as part of every engineering decision
Support CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflows using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git
Translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for diverse, non-technical stakeholders
Create and implement several automation systems for IoT devices and systems

Have 4 - 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or observability engineering-ideally in global, distributed environments
Have multiple years of experience using Terraform and Ansible for IaaS and automated configuration deployments
Know how to administer both Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, Microsoft) and Windows-based systems
Bring expert-level knowledge of DevOps tools CDCI, Jenkins, and Git
Bring a deep understanding of observability frameworks, metrics collection, log aggregation, and incident automation
Are fluent in SQL and data modeling, and can turn data into insights using tools like Sigma, Looker, or similar BI platforms
Have built integrations using RESTful APIs and understand how to design scalable, maintainable interfaces
Bring experience with Axis Camera (a plus). APISDK, ONVIF, RTSP streams
Have some foundation in networking, DNS, DHCP, SwitchingFirewall
Have the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from isc2.org or can obtain certification within twelve (12) months of hire
Know your way around both Linux and Windows environments and have managed systems via Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools
Are familiar with access control, video surveillance, and IoT technologies (bonus for Genetec experience)
Can communicate clearly, simplify the complex, and advocate for users in every system you build
Are comfortable working across time zones and teams, and can lead large-scale projects independently

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$119,000-$175,000 USD
