Job Title/High-Level Position Summary: As a Mechanical Engineer you will work closely within a small dynamic team to complete several mid to large projects. You will be assigned projects with details, requirements and deadlines where you will use your engineering, design, drafting and testing skills towards completing projects and overcoming challenges. You will lead/participate daily technical meetings to review project progression, performance of team members and recourse management. This position is for a mid-level engineer to further strengthen their skills in an array of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads design execution on small and mid-scope projects with minimal assistance from leadership in strategic development
Applying engineering fundamentals to practical problem-solving involving design, manufacturing, and validation of test methods and test set ups.
Create 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings files in accordance with company drafting standards
Support design verification testing, including writing test protocols, overseeing test progress, providing direct input in test activities and preparing test reports at completion
Technical writing in support of design inputs, design outputs, qualification activities, quality and regulatory requirements
Contact outside suppliers related to design activities
Proficient in structured problems solving (RCCM etc.), Finite element analysis and tolerance analysis
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical)
5+ years of related experience or recent master's degree in engineering with some experience
Demonstrated, strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated SolidWorks experience or other CAD software tool

Travel Requirements:
Should be flexible to travel up to 10% of time
Desired Characteristics:
Experience with Solidworks or equivalent CAD tools is highly preferred.
