    Position summary

    tal/CAD support for layouts and work center designs. Manage the installation, commissioning, and validation of new capital process equipment or equipment modifications. Provide engineering support and project management relative to assigned new products and process implementation and improvements. Implement cost reduction initiatives using Lean manufacturing techniques, including Kaizen events. Implement error proofing solutions that are integrated into the production line or manufacturing process control systems, such as the integration of cameras, laser sensors, in-process/post process gage systems, data collection. Conduct feasibility studies to ensure that implementation of recommended improvements would meet objectives with respect to safety, quality, market demands, competitive costs, and general financial criteria. Work with maintenance team to maintain and update spare parts strategy, recommend preventative maintenance and frequency for process equipment. 25% domestic and international travel required.

    Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a closely related engineering field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or related in manufacturing environment. Must have 5 years of experience with: utilizing Project Management tools, including Gantt Charts and Microsoft Project, and Lean Manufacturing tools, including Value Stream Mapping, PDCA, Kaizen, Kanban, to improve production processes; performing deployment, update and maintenance of process control documentation, including Procedures, Work Instructions, Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Device Master Record, and Master Validation Plan; utilizing Statistical tools, including Pareto Diagrams, to measure KPI's and track their progress, and DOE and ANOVA to improve them; CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, NX) to review and update design fixtures and equipment for the manufacturing process; and performing manufacturing site evaluation for Capital Expenditure projects and performing complex and detailed capacity analysis, including full value stream mapping of assigned process flows.
