Data Center Campus Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Operations Campus Coordinator is responsible on a daily basis for providing administrative support to the Operations team to allow their time to be better devoted to the day-to-day running of the business and to meet SLA's. This role supports a campus of data centres (IBXs) across an assigned location with various administrative tasks and ensures the facilities are well maintained.
Predominantly working onsite from Port Melbourne, we are looking for someone who enjoys being in the office and forming an integral part of the team. This role is available due to an internal promotion, and the ideal candidate will bring their administrative and coordination expertise - but just as importantly, a positive attitude and commitment towards operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily office management functions across all IBXs within the Melbourne cluster, in line with national standards
Build positive working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside the business
Manage stakeholder expectations and juggle conflicting deadlines
Manage and track spend across key budget categories within the Melbourne cluster under guidance of AU Operations Support team
Manage purchase orders, including annual blanket POs and timely payment of invoices associated with the Melbourne cluster
Coordinate training activities for local Operations teams across the Melbourne cluster
Compilation and coordination of monthly customer reports within SLAs
Collaborating with technical and administrative stakeholders, internally and externally, to resolve issues and ensure accuracy of customer reports
Provide support on Operations and company-wide events when needed
Proactively resolve or escalate issues requiring attention
Champion best practice initiatives across campus to support business strategy (e.g. sustainability)
Consider opportunities for process improvement
Support the Operations team to facilitate effective administration and office operating procedures
Embody the Equinix culture daily in all interactions with internal and external customers
Organisational Support Responsibilities:
Office management responsibilities such as vendor liaison and management of cleaning staff and requirements across the Melbourne cluster
General office support such as managing supplies and storage areas, catering orders, courier bookings and coordinating team events on occasion
Maintenance of office common areas and equipment
Provide relief support to other Operations Campus Coordinators when required
Greet new joiners and conduct introductions and tours when required
Lead and collaborate with green champions across campus to drive sustainability
Qualifications:
3 years in an administration role, with an advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience in purchase ordering ideal, particularly COUPA system
Data Centre or IT experience advantageous but not essential
