Data Center Coordinator
Job Summary
The Data Center Operations Facilitator is responsible on a daily basis for providing administrative support to the Operations team to allow their time to be better devoted to the day-to-day running of the business and to meet SLA's. The Facilitator supports a campus of data centres across an assigned location with various administrative tasks and ensures the facilities are well maintained.
Responsibilities
Coordinate consistent office management functions across all Data Centers within the assigned campus in line with national standards
Build positive working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside the business
Manage stakeholder expectations and juggle conflicting deadlines
Consider and initiate opportunities for process improvement
Support the AU Operations Support team to facilitate effective administration and office operating procedures
Effectively manage and track spend across key budget categories within assigned campus under guidance of AU Operations Support team
Support the AU Operations Support team with presentation of updates and statistics on campus activities
Consistently coordinate daily operational procurement requirements across assigned campus
Consistently coordinate and prepare monthly customer reporting requirements across assigned campus to a high level of attention to detail and within expected timeframes
Collaborating with technical and administrative stakeholders, internally and externally, to resolve issues and ensure accuracy of customer reports
Support Data Center Manager with ad hoc reports and projects as required
Coordinate training activities for local Operations teams across assigned campus
Provide support on Operations and company wide events across multiple locations when needed
Proactively resolve or escalate issues requiring attention
Champion best practice initiatives across campus to support business strategy (e.g. sustainability)
Consider opportunities for process improvement
Embody the Equinix culture daily in all interactions with internal and external customers
Organisational Support Responsibilities
Managing positive business relationships with key vendors and staff across campus
Managing purchase orders, receipting and timely payment of invoices associated with office management responsibilities and other key projects
Proactively share suggestions and feedback on changes required across assigned campus
General office support such as managing supplies and storage areas, catering orders, courier bookings, and coordinating team events on occasion
Maintenance of office common areas and equipmen
Assist with documenting procedures from time to time;
Provide relief support to other Data Centre Operations Facilitators when required
Assist with workstation setups and tours for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the business
Qualifications
3 years in an administration role
Advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience in purchase ordering ideal, particularly COUPA system
Data Centre or IT experience advantageous but not essential

Ability to work across a range of administrative, project and support activities

Strong computer skills with an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate professionally with higher management
Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
