    Position summary

    et schedules and goals while working in a multi-faceted environment. Whilst an individual contributor role, you will constantly lead, guide and direct a team of external Safety consultants in multiple countries, ensuring they meet schedules and goals effectively while working in a multifaceted Data Center environment. You will partner with Senior Management to execute safety strategy and programs in sites within scope.

    In this role you will acts as a subject matter expert for compliance subjects assigned, and ensure all regulations and requirements are upheld to local, Government or Equinix standards. Establishing strong working links with regional operational representatives and management, despite any cultural or geographical challenges, restrictions, differences and nuances will be key to success. Based out of Singapore, you will be responsible for local projects as well as managing consultants and travelling where required to our developing markets across South-East Asia, such as Manila, Indonesia and others.

    Key responsibilities:

    Consultant Management

    • Manages, selects, retains and guides the team to ensure optimal performance
    • Scale and manage contingent workforce across regions team activities including results, costs, methods, and staffing
    • Develops and motivates consultants to drive compliance in various locations

    Audits & Certifications

    • Coordinates site level compliance audits (internal and external)
    • Acts as SPOC for Compliance Center of Excellence (COE) for audit activities
    • Manages and follows-up of audit findings
    • Identifies processes to be audited based on a set criteria and controls
    • Reports any findings to management and relevant stakeholders
    • Manages rollout of new certifications and sustenance of existing certifications within the sites in scope

    Management Systems

    • Ensures local procedures are developed to comply with local legislative and Equinix requirements
    • Ensures all required compliance records are maintained in local/global repositories; this includes records relevant to Operations compliance (QISBC and EHS)
    • Creates global/regional policies and processes relevant to the compliance subject assigned

    Program Management

    • Produces compliance reports for local management, including key performance indicators and metrics as required with assistance from senior team members
    • Analyzes corrective and preventative actions to identify systemic issues/root causes/delays in completion and recommend broader preventive actions
    • Identifies and participates in process improvement initiatives and compliance projects for the site/country in collaboration with regional and/or global stakeholders
    • Forecasts and tracks budget for assigned scope of work

    Training

    • Develops and implements training plans for standards, regulatory and reporting requirements (i.e., environmental compliance, global security management)
    • Works with local, regional and global management to assess needs for new training or re-training efforts
    • Participates in creating relevant compliance training content

    1st Line Responsibilities

    • Manages site level audit findings by providing SME guidance on compliance related questions
    • Acts as SPOC for site level compliance related customer or any third party audits
    • Performs site level audit evidence reviews including making sure the sites in scope are prepared for any upcoming audits
    • Creates and identifies changes to any local site level management system assets by raising a document change request, as per input from site personnel
    • Provides input and hosts site level Management Review meetings
    • Helps budget for any site level compliance needs/requirements
    • Ensures site level compliance with new and existing local/federal/regulatory requirements and follow up on any actions
    • Conducts site inspections with focus on requirements from local/regional/federal and Equinix requirements
    • Assists Data Center Managers in the implementation of site level compliance policies and processes as per global requirements

    2nd Line Responsibilities

    • Manages compliance through 1st line of defense actions with Local / Regional / Global Ops and cross-functional teams
    • Assures global operations compliance team follows regulatory / compliance standards and company guidelines and requirements, include communication to the external stakeholders
    • Assures team stays current on standards, fielding their requests for training and other newsfeed resources
    • Analyzes and investigates Regional/Global level incidents and advices on remedial action
    • Provides RFI/RFP support for compliance related topics and 2nd level support for customer audits.
    • Participates in external audits as an SME
    • Plans and directs internal audits
    • Supports and advises 1st Line of Defense on Management Reviews

    Compliance Implementation/Consulting

    • Manages compliance budgets for site(s) in scope

    • Manages Data Center Business Continuity Exercise program ensuring all required drills are planned, tracked, conducted, and documented by site Ops per global policy

    Qualifications, key skills and attributes:

    • Managing high volume and variations of work ideally with a contingent workforce of experience in relevant field of compliance preferred

    • Bachelor's Degree in a Safety/Construction/Engineering related subject preferred

    • Experience working across South-East Asia

    • QISBC or EHS certification preferred, qualified lead auditor/implementer in at least one standard preferred

    • Worked across time-zones, countries and regions, with an ability to understand cross-border differences to work towards a common goal
