Job Summary
As a part of the Global Legal Operations team, the Legal Operations Technology Analyst will be responsible for working with various stakeholders across the Legal department on projects, from opportunity alignment and requirements gathering through design and delivery. The focus for this role will be on technology projects that drive digital transformation across the Legal practice areas, from enhancing current systems, supporting system integrations to developing business requirements and common processes for new system deployments. The Legal Operations Technology Analyst must juggle responsibilities across various projects with a wide range of complexities.
We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and results-oriented professional with solid technology experience and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams. To excel in this role, you will have a background in business analysis and project management with the ability to foster relationships with staff across the legal department globally to achieve positive results. Successful candidates will have experience deploying digital technology to a legal practice area or a complementary function with transferable skills.
Responsibilities
Understand business needs and objectives for the Legal department
Support creation of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Support the implementation, deployment, and further development of Legal Technology systems (ServiceNow, Onit, iManage etc.)
Lead the creation, ongoing analysis, and maintenance of existing and future state process documents, guides, and training materials
Lead and administer Legal technology and Project Management systems trainings
Track, monitor, and suggest ServiceNow system workflow enhancements with internal IT and vendor developers
Assist in the creation of new Knowledge Base materials in ServiceNow
Support E-billing system admin duties
Track, monitor, and suggest E-billing system enhancements with internal IT and vendor developers
Support E-billing technology projects (ex. Matter Management Dashboard roll-out, AP Integration refresh)
Create and submit Jira tickets for IT development
Create, conduct, and coordinate user acceptance testing on various legal technology initiatives
Act as the liaison with various stakeholders, including IT, as needed
Project management of smaller Legal technology projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Gather, document, and analyze business requirements and partner with Senior Manager of Legal Technology and IT and external service providers to recommend practical, innovative solutions
Support and at times, lead New Hire Legal Technology overview training program
Department-wide report creation and distribution
Work closely with business partners to understand processes, gaps, and goals
Use a variety of problem-solving skills to resolve issues with internal teams and stakeholders
Qualifications
5+ years completing similar tasks to those above, and within a Legal environment, preferred
Bachelor's degree required
Experience with Legal technology and processes preferred
Project Management qualifications preferred
Ability to identify and manage cross-team and cross-project dependencies
Ability to anticipate and address issues early with strong customer focus
Strong analytical skills, including business case acumen
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects for various internal customers
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Ability to make decisions independently, knowing how and when to escalate issues
Experience working directly with business teams and stakeholders
Expertise in Legal Service Delivery (ServiceNow), Knowledge Management (ServiceNow), and Matter Management systems (Onit)
Knowledge of Project Management Technology, such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, Tableau, Box
Experience in Legal domain preferred, including but not limited to Corp Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Entity Management, and Billing
