Responsibilities
The Network Security Engineer's responsibilities shall also include:
Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
Manage multiple perimeter firewalls to include application-level firewalls
Evaluate new and emerging security products and technologies
Participate in tier 2 and tier 3 security operations support
Respond to and investigate network-related security incidents, breaches, and alerts
Design, deploy and manage VPNs, IAM
Manage security configurations such as access control lists (ACLs) across firewalls ad routers
Conduct regular vulnerability assessment and management
Implement and secure remote access solutions (SSL/IPSec VPNs, Bastion hosts)
Maintain up-to-date documentation of network topology, policies, and security standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
2 - 4 years' experience in network security roles
Ciso CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+ would be an added advantage
CCNA, Fortinet NSE4 (Mandatory)
Skills & Competencies
Hands-on experience with major firewall platforms (e.g., Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet Fortigate, Palo Alto Networks)
Knowledge of network routing and security protocols and implementation TCP/IP, SSL, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, VLANs and common network protocols
Experience with VPN technologies, authentication systems (RADIUS, TACACS)
Experience with Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention (IDS/IPS) systems
Familiarity with SIEM tools and syslog integration
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
