Operations Center Specialist (Alarm Monitoring & Incident Management)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Center Specialist to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our data center infrastructure.
With a supportive team and management structure, the successful candidate will thrive in this role and provide significant support to our data centers across EMEA.
Responsibilities:
• System Monitoring: The rotating shift teams are responsible for 24x7x365 monitoring of our Data Center infrastructure and security alarms. This includes monitoring essential systems and network elements and timely response to access and CCTV-related alarms.
• Documentation & Processing: Accurately input access information into our access control system and process inbound access requests from customers, carriers, and our sites. You will also be responsible for dispatching service requests, trouble, and alarm tickets.
• Technical Expertise: Develop familiarity with BMS systems, security access control systems, and basic data center infrastructure. Gain knowledge of Data Center Facility Operations' best practices over time and through training and support.
• Systems Support & Maintenance: Process inbound alerts from essential systems and network elements, ensuring a timely response. Additionally, you will handle site maintenance and outage notifications.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve, or report, any detected problems. Escalate trouble cases and emergencies as needed.
• Training: Complete assigned training to stay updated with industry practices and technologies, including compliance and regulatory aspects.
• Project Management: At times, the teams support the fulfillment of projects with direction from Management and assist with ensuring their successful completion.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in technical field or technical background with proven expertise
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Admirable prioritization and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work in 12-hour shift including weekends
Familiarity with monitoring systems from data centers or relevant industries would be an additional bonus
