Job Summary
A Director, Product Management at Equinix is a leadership IC role responsible for defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap for a specific area within Equinix.
Responsibilities
Define the infrastructure product strategy to meet customers infrastructure (compute, networking, and storage) needs so they can capitalize on Equinix's global footprint and Interconnect ecosystem
Drive strategy and execution for various infrastructure and networking product features and roadmaps
Define product requirements for net features and releases related to the above areas; Drive feature/release life cycle working with engineering and other stakeholders
Lead Infrastructure Go-To-Market strategy with clear messaging and action plan
Accelerate adoption and business by partnering with marketing, revenue, and solution teams
Engage with research teams and analysts to understand the competitive landscape and market trends
Run the business: analyze and optimize value chain activities; establish and monitor KPIs; implements course corrections as needed. Maintain a keen awareness of budgeting (Capex & Opex) and P&L for the Edge Infrastructure network platform and services
Other responsibilities include supporting market assessments with qualitative and quantitative research; validating the problem space; sizing the market; meaningfully segmenting it; determining segment attractiveness, developing theory of competitive advantage and implications for the value chain; create business case and impacts to EBITDA. Research competitors and verticals; prepares reports related to financial position, competitive position, and market potential
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in product management or related technical role
Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or relevant field of study, MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience of leading and growing a team of product managers
Experience with infrastructure solution including compute, storage, and networking
The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $198,000 to $298,000 per year • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $191,000 to $287,000 per year • Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $177,000 to $265,000 per year Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
