    Job Summary

    As the Director, Product Manager for Network Edge at Equinix, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our networking infrastructure as a service offering. This strategic position requires a balance of leadership and execution-focused management to drive revenue growth and strengthen our competitive position in the market.

    Your strategic insights and execution capabilities will be essential in driving the success of our Network Edge initiatives, ultimately contributing to Equinix's mission of providing unparalleled cloud networking infrastructure solutions.     Responsibilities

    • Strategic Product Vision and Roadmap Development: Define and articulate a clear product vision, ensuring alignment with Equinix's overall business strategy

    • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for enhancements, expanding our marketplace of curated network functions, and new service offerings

    • Backlog Prioritization and Management: Prioritize the backlog effectively, ensuring development efforts are aligned with customer needs and market demand, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision

    • Customer Engagement and Feedback Loop: Establish strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that product offerings are continuously refined to meet customer expectations

    • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, technical alliances, marketing, and operations teams to ensure product success. Foster a culture of open communication to drive product success

    • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators, regularly report on these, and use data-driven insights to make strategic adjustments

    • Leadership: As a leader, you will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement

    Qualifications

    Educational Background

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field

    • Master's degree or MBA preferred

    Experience

    • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on networking, cloud services, or cyber security

    • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing networking products or services, particularly in NFVi (Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure)

    Technical Skills

    • Strong understanding of networking technologies, cloud infrastructure, and virtualization

    • Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)

    • Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to drive product decisions

    Strategic Thinking

    • Ability to develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals

    • Experience in market analysis, competitive analysis, and identifying growth opportunities

    Leadership

    • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams

    • Ability to mentor, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration

    Communication Skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences

    • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members

    Customer Focus

    • Proven ability to engage with customers to gather insights and feedback, ensuring product offerings meet market needs

    • Experience in developing customer-centric product strategies

    Business Acumen

    • Strong understanding of business principles, including revenue generation, pricing strategies, and market positioning

    • Ability to analyze financial metrics and make data-driven decisions

    Certifications (preferred)

    • Relevant certifications in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing Certification) or networking (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) may be beneficial

    The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

    • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $198,000 to $298,000 per year

    • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $191,000 to $287,000 per year

    • Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $177,000 to $265,000 per year

    Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

    This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

    The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
