Overview
Responsible in all aspects of data center design & construction for respective project from project inception, through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and hand-over of an operating facility, that could include ground up construction, fit-outs, remodels, etc. Will coordinate with all partners, internal (Design, Procurement, Operations, Security and IT/Network, as well as with external vendors comprising Contractors, design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etc. Responsible for supporting a safe, quality first culture, ensuring that all applicable codes, standards, and good construction practices are followed. Ensuring that internal controls are adhered to at each step of the process through effective contract administration including generation, review, management, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentation. This position will be based in Northern Virginia supporting projects in the WA DC metro. There is minimal travel outside the WA DC metro expected for this position.
Responsibilities
Project Management
Manage full life cycle hyperscale data center construction projects along with multiple smaller projects
Onsite partnership with the General Contractor
Adhere to safety, standards, and culture standards
Manage and monitor project progress, quality and compliance with building regulations
Ensuring projects are meeting or exceeding company expectations
Overview and management of project risk registers
Vendor Relations
Directs external vendors per project comprising general contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers etc.
Contributes to establishing and maintaining high value relationships
Contract Administration
Manages contract administration procedures including generation, review, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentation
Liaising with local authorities and relevant State agencies and departments.
Leadership
Leading cross functional teams
Collaborate with internal and external project team members including internal Design, Procurement, Operations, Commercial and IT/Network support teams
Maintaining best in class policies and procedures
Manages project closure, handover and lessons learnt processes are established and implemented
Qualifications
Typically has 5+ years experience in construction project management that will include critical MEP infrastructure for Datacenter, Pharmaceutical, Bio-tech, hospitals or similar environments
This position will be filled in Northern Virginia/WA DC metro area. Must be able to be in the office and/or WA DC metro job sites a minimum of 3 days each week
Knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices
Experienced in Construction procurement methodologies
Proficiency in MS Office including MS Project, Excel
Preference for experience with Procore and P6
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction, construction project management and /or Services engineering or with equivalent experience

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Ashburn Office AEO : 150,000 - 224,000 USD / Annual
