    Job Summary

    The ServiceNow Developer specializing in Software Asset Management (SAM) is responsible for developing and implementing software asset management solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to enhance software asset management processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and optimizing software usage across the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Development and Configuration: Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules related to Software Asset Management, including license management, compliance tracking, and reporting

    • Integration: Integrate ServiceNow SAM solutions with third-party tools to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy

    • Workflow Development: Design and develop efficient workflows that streamline processes and enhance user experience

    • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical architect and product owner to align product vision, technical feasibility, and implementation strategies. Engage in discussions to ensure that the product roadmap is realistic and achievable while meeting both user needs and technical standards

    • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of developed solutions

    • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAM processes, workflows, and technical specifications to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance

    • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of SAM solutions and make recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

    • Reporting and Analytics: Create and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into software asset utilization, compliance status, and optimization opportunities

    • Participation in Agile Ceremonies: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Agile process by providing insights and feedback based on user experiences and testing outcomes

    • Adherence to Code Development Standards: Ensure that all development work adheres to established coding standards and best practices. Engage in code review processes to provide and receive constructive feedback and ensure that code quality meets organizational standards

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

    • 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management

    • Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including scripting, workflows, and integrations

    • Experience with ServiceNow SAM module, ServiceNow Discovery, IntegrationHub and related applications

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

    • Relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Application Developer) are a plus
