Senior Staff Application Engineer
Job Summary
Senior QA Functional Automation and Performance Test Engineer with knowledge in DEVOPS.
Responsibilities
Automation Testing and Scripting
Develop, execute, and maintain UFT automation scripts and ACCELQ test cases for functional testing
Integrate automation with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab for continuous testing
Modify and enhance scripts as needed for application changes or improved coverage
DevOps and Continuous Testing
Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and optimized test cycles in an Agile/DevOps environment
Application Performance Testing
Develop, execute, and maintain performance scripts with LoadRunner and JMeter
Schedule and run load tests in LoadRunner Controller, analyze results, and recommend optimizations
Modify scripts to meet new requirements or improve outcomes
Defect Management
Track and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools, work with development teams to resolve and retest fixes, provide detailed defect analysis, and ensure the test automation framework aligns with development practices
Qualifications
8+ years of Functional Automation and Application Performance Test Engineer
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of people in different time zones (Business, onsite and offshore teams)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI
Excellent Communication and documentation skills
Bachelor's in computer science or computer engineering
Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field highly preferred
Good communication skills and leading the team
Interacting with the client regularly through the conferences
Extremely motivated with good Inter-personal Skills, have ability to work under strict deadlines
Functional Automation Engineer
8+ years of experience in executing UFT scripts
Proficiency in ACCELQ's codeless automation platform, including test case creation, execution, and maintenance
Good Knowledge in test automation tools like Selenium or any other tools
2+ years of experience integrating ACCELQ with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab
Good knowledge in DevOps to ensure continuous testing in an Agile/DevOps environment
Hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation test suites for functional testing
6+ years of experience in defect management and tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla or others
Modify/Enhance existing test scripts, if required
Performance Test Engineer
6+ years of experience in executing load test performance scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter
6+ years of experience in test data preparation and scheduling load tests in LoadRunner Controller
Analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize test environments
Modify/Enhance existing performance scripts, if required
Knowledge in C/java Script would be an advantage
2+ years of Hands-on J Meter
