We are looking for a senior UI engineer to join our Core Platform Services team. The right candidate will contribute towards modernizing our Identity and Access Management user experience, creating a unified provisioning and permissioning experience for our Equinix customer portals. Prefer experienced independent self-starters looking to rapidly collaborate on cool greenfield technologies which are used to secure a large part of the world's datacenter infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, UX designers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and solve problems at scale
Comfortable working in Javascript or Typescript
Review code, define new patterns and help to ensure the team is more than the sum of our parts.
Ensure our code has proper test coverage. Define tests that will catch happy path errors and common edge cases.
Ensure our solutions are secure, proactively working with teams to raise trust and confidence.
Work in a Globally Distributed Development team environment with minimal direction.
Bring passion, enthusiasm and a positive attitude to the team.
Self-managed, natural inclination to independently seek out connections and collaboration with other stakeholders and teammates
Mentor through pair programming, review, and discussion.
Qualifications:
7+ years experience building as an engineer, at least 2 of those focused on building distributed cloud user interfaces at scale
Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Deep experience with React frameworks, bonus if you want to work with Reagent and re-frame.
Background writing solid unit tests
Experience planning, and developing functional, reactive UIs
Experience writing Typescript with different levels of strictness and opinions about best practices.
Significant experience planning product implementation proposals or invasive technical improvements requiring seamless data migration and integration with existing systems.
Experience building and troubleshooting APIs.
Ability to identify and communicate developer experience improvements effectively.
Nice-to-haves:
Background in Identity Access Management solutions, including RBAC, ABAC, Federation, OpenID Connect and SAML.
History in data-orientated development with a separation of logic from components, or in event driven architectures
Bonus if you are experienced in functional programming (ClojureScript) or have a background with state management libraries like Redux, Zustand or Recoil.
The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $157,000 to $235,000 per year • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $150,000 to $224,000 per year • Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $136,000 to $204,000 per year Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations.
