Equinix is seeking a Tax Manager to join our EMEA Tax Team, focusing on income tax, indirect tax, and withholding tax in Poland, as well as statutory reporting and tax accounting under US GAAP. This role also offers the opportunity to manage income tax matters for a portfolio of entities in other EMEA countries. The ideal candidate will be accounting or tax qualified, possess a strong background in Corporate Tax, and have a solid understanding of Polish indirect tax. Responsibilities
Corporate Income Tax Compliance: Collaborate with external service providers to oversee the preparation of corporate income tax returns and related filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Maintain supporting workpapers and calculations, including Tax Fixed Asset Registers and interest restriction calculations. Prepare and monitor tax payments and cash tax forecasts, assist with inquiries from local tax authorities, and ensure compliance with local tax legislation.
US Group Reporting: Prepare tax packages for quarterly reporting and forecasting, including current and deferred tax provisioning under US GAAP. Conduct tax account reconciliations and collaborate with the US Tax team and external financial statement auditors.
Local GAAP Reporting: Prepare local tax accounting calculations and supporting workpapers for inclusion in local GAAP statutory accounts, covering current and deferred taxes and prior year adjustments. Work with local tax advisors and external auditors as needed.
Withholding Taxes: Ensure compliance with withholding tax obligations and reporting requirements.
Poland Indirect Taxes: Manage VAT compliance, e-invoicing implementation, and address technical issues related to indirect taxes.
Poland R&D Matters: Calculate tax incentives and manage the R&D reporting process.
Project Work: Participate in corporate tax projects, including the implementation of Poland's SAF-T on an ad-hoc basis.
People Management: Mentor and develop junior team members.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather information and assist with various requests.
Tax Planning: Assist in the implementation of tax planning strategies in the relevant countries.
Qualifications
Preferred qualification as a tax advisor with expertise in accounting, corporate income tax reporting, and compliance, including Polish R&D and indirect tax reporting, ideally within a multinational enterprise.
Strong experience in corporate income tax compliance and tax accounting (both deferred and current), with exposure to international tax and transfer pricing.
Demonstrated technical expertise in corporate income tax accounting, reporting, and compliance.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management.
Self-starter with strong analytical, time management, and project management abilities.
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
