    Job Summary
    We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development, specifically in Java, Kafka, and database technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software architecture and design principles, as well as a proven track record of delivering scalable and high-performance applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practices in software development.

    Responsibilities
    Software Development

    • Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications that leverage Apache Kafka for messaging and data streaming. Ensure that applications are scalable, efficient, and maintainable

    Collaboration

    • Work closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable tasks

    Database Management

    • Implement and optimize database solutions, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security. Experience with both relational (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is essential

    Troubleshooting

    • Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues. Utilize debugging tools and techniques to ensure high availability and reliability of applications

    DevOps Practices

    • Contribute to the implementation of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code. Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus

    Observability

    • Enhance application observability through effective logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions. Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack is beneficial

    Agile Methodologies

    • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Contribute to the overall improvement of the development process

    Continuous Learning

    • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate their potential impact on our products and recommend improvements

    Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

    Experience

    • 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Java

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in core Java and strong experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot

    • Strong experience with Apache Kafka and message-driven architectures

    • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases

    • Familiarity with Dev practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

    • Understanding of observability tools and practices (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana LGTM+ stack) is a plus

    • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus

    Soft Skills

    • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
