Tax Senior Analyst

d Value Added Tax (VAT), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations. The successful candidate will work independently and provide support on strategic initiatives across the region.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage all tax compliance activities for Mexico, including CIT and VAT

• Prepare and review tax returns and related documentation, ensuring compliance with local laws and deadlines

• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the business

• Handle day-to-day tax issues and liaise with local tax authorities when required

• Support the LATAM Tax team in complex matters

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Accounting, Treasury and Legal teams, to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting

• Provide input and support for internal and external audits

• Coordinate and manage tax refund requests and related documentation, if needed.

• Monitor and address issues related to Blacklist regulations and compliance, if needed.

• Analyze contracts to assess and document tax implications

• Perform and review monthly calculations for federal, state, and municipal taxes, as well as prepare and file tax returns

• Calculate and manage tax attributes such as CUCA, CUFIN

• Prepare/analyze reconciliations of bank statements x AP/AR reports

• Review reconciliations of tax accounts

• Monitor the company's "complemento de pago"

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in multinational companies or Big Four firms

• Proven ability to manage tax compliance independently

• Advanced English skills, both written and spoken

• Strong understanding of Mexican tax laws and regulations for CIT and VAT

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle ERP systems

• Knowledge of US GAAP tax compliance and reporting
