Position summary

Strategic Purchases:

  • Develop and execute procurement plans for strategic purchases.

  • Lead negotiation and contract drafting activities with internal stakeholders.

  • Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate favorable purchase terms and conditions.

  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.

  • Purchase Orders and Documentation:

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements in accordance with company policies.

  • Maintain complete and updated purchasing records/data within the system.

  • Ensure audit compliance and accuracy of procurement documentation.

Vendor Management:

  • Liaise with vendors throughout the procure-to-pay process.

  • Participate in the vendor creation process.

  • Negotiate price and delivery terms under the framework of our terms and conditions of purchase.

  • Negotiate framework agreements and contracts outside standard terms when necessary.

Quality Assurance:

  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items, addressing any shortcomings.

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and contemporary nature of item and vendor data in the ERP system.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Communicate with requesters regarding progress and queries related to their requirements.

  • Provide input to Procurement Vendor Management and Sourcing teams on vendor performance.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional purchasing/procurement department, performing a similar role.

  • Desirable (but not essential): Previous experience in purchasing similar items/services.

  • Familiarity with S2P (Source-to-Pay) and ERP systems.

    Previous experience in working with Coupa is a plus.

Qualifications & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (professional accreditation is a plus).

  • In certain circumstances, a proven track record of performance in a related role may be acceptable in lieu of professional qualifications.

  • English proficiency and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
