Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to drive the development and continuous improvements in tax policies, processes, and systems for tax reporting across the region. This includes tax information reporting.
Meet performance metrics to provide confidence on the overall governance and efficiencies of the region's tax reporting and compliance, including driving improvements in availability of data analytics and the process around cash tax forecasting.
Drive forward any enquiries with the IRS, state authorities and the CRA, working collaboratively with other team members across the organization to bring them to an effective close.
Tackle other areas of tax as and when required, including cross-functional projects, and so on.
Required Experience:
CPA/chartered accountant or chartered tax advisor
Demonstrated experience of calculating tax provisions and preparing tax compliance for US consolidated groups. Additional Canadian tax expertise preferred.
Willingness to tackle other areas of tax.
Strong ASC740 technical tax accounting experience.
Ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and to drive complex transformations involving cross-functional teams
Strong writing, analytical, and oral presentation skills including creativity in presentation materials.
Advanced excel skills and an ability to understand end to end tax processes and systems.
