• Develop tone and language style guides for the Japanese market

• Develop and maintain terminology bases for Japanese

• Understand and ensure compliance requirements in all translated materials

• Showcase excellent written and verbal communication skills to localise multiple content types such as financial, marketing, legal and educational materials

• Excel in linguistic quality management and proofreading

• Project manage Japanese translations commissioned by the business, prioritising according to business needs

• Ad-hoc projects and verbal translations as directed by management

Your Qualifications:

• Japanese native speaker. Fluency in business English is required

• Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or other professional certification related to translation or localisation

• 5+ years of experience in translation

• Experience as a Translator, with financial services industry background is advantageous

• Knowledge of CAT tools, TMS technology, and translation practices is beneficial

• Experience editing for clarity, grammar, spelling, consistency and accuracy with few revisions needed

• Manage complexity and coordinate projects across several departments under strict timelines

• Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Ability to work autonomously on a large volume of work in a small and demanding environment

• Client focus with desire to support our growth in Japan
