**As Social Media Strategist you will lead organic social and social customer care strategy, as well as partner closely with our Paid Social demand generation team to ensure alignment. You will lead and develop the strategy to expand Forcepoint's global social media channels and their impact on business goals. This includes leading function resource management, channel strategy, audience development, influencer programming, content strategy, and impact and engagement measurement.

The Global Social Media Strategist reports to the Vice President of Corporate Marketing. This role is based in Forcepoint's Austin, TX headquarters.
Essential Functions:
Bridge-builder: Ready to work cross-functionally across multiple teams, including Organic Social, Creative, Customer Success, Paid Social Acquisition, Partnerships, Comms and Product. You'll develop and advocate for social KPIs that enhance our brand's reputation, grow audiences, and generate leads.
Strategy: You'll conceive, develop and manage a comprehensive social media strategy for Forcepoint and our key global executive leaders. You'll evolve our programming into new platforms, influencer marketing, creator strategy and more.
Content + Engagement: You'll lead, shape and implement the channel strategy and serve as the in-house expert on social channels, community management and smart content programming. You'll endlessly innovate with a strong point of view, leveraging channel performance data, customer insights and industry trends. You'll champion a unique voice and vibe that appeals to our global audience and drives results. You will also help develop social media guidelines and grow social media amplification participation across our global employee base.
Planning + Production: You will be responsible for developing a content calendar across channels and projects. You will manage the concepting, production and execution of creative assets to support the content strategy. Knowledge of AI content creation tools to help scale global content creation is a plus!
Measurement + Reporting: You'll develop and evolve our measurement and reporting approach to demonstrate the impact of projects and the function, utilizing social analytics and the tools you identify.
Collaboration: You'll work collaboratively with the Customer Success, Product, Channel Partners and the Paid Acquisition teams to maximize the value of assets and resources and achieve business objectives.
Integration: You'll work cross-functionally across global marketing's international markets to stay abreast of integrated campaigns and other initiatives and determine how the social team can best support them.
Issues Management: You'll support issues management as it pertains to the channel opportunities and objectives both proactively and reactively from customer care to brand needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field
Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience in the technology industry with most recent experience within enterprise, B2B and security technology segments
Deep knowledge of social media storytelling, platform strategy, audience engagement, and competitive positioning best practices and programming.
Strong writing and communications skills to ensure captioning, scripting, and copywriting quality.
Track record of successful collaboration with paid social/acquisition teams.
Experience working with customer success teams and issues management to provide strategic content recommendations in support of each.
Results-oriented and heavily experienced with providing robust measurement and tracking insights and turning insights into opportunities.
Experience using and evaluating social publishing and social listening tools, and the ability to interface directly vendors.
As cybersecurity is a dynamic industry, high tolerance for change, and the capacity to achieve in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Strong stakeholder management skills, cultural curiosity and global mindset to understand and communicate with the differing demographic and regional employee populations in the company
Highly collaborative - you're not afraid to lead or follow and believe in the power of "showing" your work.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and native video editing for TikTok and Reels, as well as LinkedIn Live, a plus.
Experience utilizing AI content creation tools to scale global content creation also a plus.
Motivated team player with a hands-on mentality and a willingness to explore and try new things - not afraid to roll up your sleeves to meet a goal.
Highly organized, adaptable and proactive, and able to assess and prioritize on the fly.
Previous experience with people management strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Windows/Mac environments and business productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), social media listening and publishing platforms (Sprinklr, BrandWatch, Dynamic Signal, etc.) and online content management tools (e.g. Adobe, Drupal etc.)
