Your Impact:
Primary responsibilities include collaboration with internal partners across the three lines (SFA, ERM & IA) and externally with FHFA to manage critical SFA operational risk and issue management efforts.
Periodically contribute to the design, development and implementation of major operational risk programs, policies and procedures
Identify, analyze, document, report and monitor operational risk/loss events including root cause analysis
Advise, assist, influence, challenge risk owners and business partners on the "status quo"
Perform issue oversight including evaluating issue remediation activities such as action plans, review of deliverables and monitoring/tracking remediation status
Assist in the preparation and delivery of risk reports to management
Ensure business process owners comply with operational risk management framework/programs
Foster a strong risk culture across the SFA organization through training and awareness programs
Stay updated on regulatory (FHFA) policy changes and ensure the organization's operational risk management practices are compliant, while assisting in regulatory examinations and internal audits as needed
Proficient with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) /Risk Management Tools such as BWise
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of overall experience
4+ years of operational risk management and/or strong internal audit experience
Prior risk management experience ideally in the financial services industry (preferably in mortgage finance)
Relationship Management skills including influencing others, facilitating meetings, engaging partners, building relationship networks, and resolving conflict
Problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to ask insightful questions
Relevant professional certifications (CPA, CIA, Six Sigma, etc.) are a plus!

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $126,000 - $190,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
