    In this role you will be part of the Test Systems Engineering team (TSE) in the Advanced Technologies Organization and take part in the latest GE NPIs through technology maturation programs. You will have the opportunity to work and lead projects on different engine modules and design for product level or for modules and components testing as well as test support. You will work in close cooperation with other global sites and test cells around the world.

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services. Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, instrumentation systems and the development of test software

    • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

    • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

    • Coordination and execution of design efforts related to technology maturation for new engine programs

    • Execute mechanical systems design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

    • Meeting the technical and program requirements and schedule.

    • Creation and implementation of plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments.

    • Participation as a presenter in technical and program reviews

    • Preparation of action plans to anticipate and respond to challenges

    • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks

    • Coordinate and execute assigned individual and team projects using engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirement

    Required Qualifications

    • BSc or MSc in Engineering

    • Proven track record of leading engineering projects

    • Systems thinking and engine architecture knowledge

    • Understanding of the design and analysis tools relevant to the function (e.g. Ansys, NX, Teamcenter)

    • Technical aptitude related to components and systems of increasing complexity

    • Technical drawing and tolerances understanding

    • Good level of English

    Desired Characteristics

    • Experience with test instrumentation design (i.e., thermocouples, strain gauges, pressure sensors, accelerometers, data acquisition systems)

    • Working experience in testing laboratory

    • Subcontracting/suppliers' coordination
