    Position summary

    ders focusing on materials, service management and supporting production readiness for our rapidly growing component repair shop at GE Aviation Hungary. Due to the ongoing development of the shop, there is the opportunity for you to become involved and support and help drive these changes. In your new role you will be responsible for facilitating purchasing transactions, cost management, supporting existing and planned production, locate best sources and improvement possibilities, challenging and maintaining Suppliers/Contractors. The Lead Indirect Buyer's key responsibility is to deploy materials/services sourcing and management, introduce best practices and procedures, process improvements.

    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversees and executes the full management of purchasing activity for dedicated commodities and executes strategic buying as well as operational tasks

    • Management of the first escalation line towards suppliers/contractors in case delivery or performance issues, assuring immediate management of the material/service shortage for production, delivering solution for uninterrupted, continuous material or service supply.

    • Engages with partnering organizations and corporate teams to build synergies to positively impact material, service or source availability for production, cost and service readiness optimization, vendor performance KPIs, meeting inner Customer's needs. Adopts supply management best practices and procedures within the GE Aerospace international network.

    • Builds and monitors KPIs of Inner Costumers to ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications as well as EHS, financial and availability expectation.

    • Provides subject matter expertise on materials management processes and ERP (Oracle) system adoption and utilization. Introduce new methods to cover system gap.

    • Proactively recognizes variances risks, gaps, opportunity by theme or product and react accordingly

    • Executes cost management for dedicated commodity including collaboration with Budget Owners, Finance, and Inner Customer. Introduce cost reduction projects through contract negotiation, processes changes, and implementation of sustainable cost controls including involvement of Inner Customer. Validate the impact of projects and contract negotiations. Establish vendor managed inventory.

    • Follow up market changes or changes in local need and proactively react by executing, market research, locate new sources or purchasing methods and establish vendor managed inventory, establish Supplier skill and database.

    • Engages with performing in accordance with GE standards and company policy and provide user training for participating departments in purchasing process. Due to growing feature of the repair shop, there will be an increasing number of uses, so user support and guidance has critical importance.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • +3 years of experience in a purchasing, supply chain, planning or related role

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

    • In-depth understanding of end to end purchasing & vendor and claims management processes

    • Thorough understanding of ERP logic and goods skill in inter and intra company communication

    • Strong experience in market research, tendering, contract management

    • Good communication skills in English and Hungarian language, both in written and verbal format; Strong experience in supply chain environment

    • good MS-Office skills

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Experience as Oracle user is not a must, but significant advantage

    • Experience in material planning

    • Basic legal and logistic knowledge

    • Familiar with LEAN tools for problem solving
