    Position summary

    with GM's Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP) and Global Launch Process standards. The PIT Lead will serve as the central point of contact for cross-functional integration, ensuring that Core team members and Group Leaders are equipped to meet launch objectives and deliver a flawless launch.

    What You'll Do:

    • Lead onboarding and training of Core team members to ensure launch readiness and alignment with GVDP deliverables.

    • Organize and facilitate daily and weekly launch readiness meetings, ensuring cross-functional alignment on build status, open issues, and risk mitigation.

    • Develop and mentor Group Leaders to strengthen leadership capability and drive operational excellence.

    • Coordinate build readiness, tooling validation, and process integration across GA.

    • Support all build events (e.g., pre-production, pilot, and MVB builds), ensuring timely issue resolution and escalation.

    • Track and report launch readiness metrics, including Master Dot compliance, open issues, and risk mitigation plans.

    • Collaborate with plant and central teams to ensure seamless handoff to production and adherence to Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles.

    • Lead or support Global Launch Process deliverables such as: -Cross-functional risk assessments, launch issue escalation and resolution, Special Action Team coordination, Boundary sample reviews and PCP verification, Capacity verification audits and Run@Rate support

    • Ensure compliance with GM PIT standards and support continuous improvement through lessons learned and feedback loops.

    Additional Description

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, related field or related experience.

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or launch.

    • Strong understanding of General Assembly processes, tooling, and automation.

    • Proven leadership in cross-functional and fast-paced environments.

    • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior GM launch experience or familiarity with GM PIT and GVDP processes.

    • Experience with Orion Assembly operations or similar high-volume GA environments.

    • Proficiency in Launch Readiness metrics, GPDS, and Master Dot tracking.

    • Working knowledge of GM systems (e.g., GMS, GLP, APS, ECR, PQRR, MQRR, PFEP, GMOS).
