What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Lead cross functional Throughput Improvement Process (TIP) teams to eliminate constraints in various product lines
Provide and analyze information for various management systems
Analyze throughput data to help departments improve performance
Handle standardized work for future products alongside the core team and help to launch products
Conduct delay studies to determine top downtime issues in constraint processes
Work with various engineering disciplines, floor and shop personnel and outside suppliers
Establish operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques
Record and analyze information on the utilization of personnel, material, machines and facilities
Confirm or recommend changes to layouts, labor control and/or material control
Support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals
Eliminate waste of time, money, materials, person-hours, machine time, energy and other resources that do not generate value
Develop, status, and analyze Manufacturing Master Schedules in sufficient detail to monitor progress, assess program status, and identify performance issues in a timely manner
Use critical path methodology and application in network development, analysis, and problem resolution
Optimize sequence of operations and workflow
Create crew plans to ensure resources are properly allocated and utilized effectively
Create metrics to monitor schedule progress and help identify risk areas
Work to improve efficiencies through waste elimination and process improvements
Perform data analysis to establish shop metrics and tackle complex problems
Provide technical support and assistance to manufacturing and maintenance team members, production supervisors and production associates
Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Industrial Engineering experience
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field
Ability to work over-time and off-shift as needed
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
3+ years of Industrial Engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering
Working knowledge of Lean Design Six Sigma, 5 WHY, Problem Solving, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle, and etcetera
Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint - Intermediate level
Ability to lead small teams, work well with others and exhibit teamwork skills
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
Knowledge of ergonomic requirements of workstation design
Ability to utilize AutoCAD for plant layout analysis
Ability to conduct line balancing activities
Ability to understand and use SAP, Production Monitoring and Control (PM & C), Andon, and Maximo
