The manufacturing system validation includes validation of body shop tools, weld gun and product accessibility, robot reachability etc. Process validation includes optimization of layout, weld sequence, cycle time etc.

Major Duties and Responsibilities• Perform robotic simulation and manufacturing assessment studies for various product programs.• Drive development, testing and implementation of new technologies in virtual simulations including immersive opportunities in Body (VR, AR, MR) to gain competitive advantage.• Achieve process excellence metrics like 100% First Time Quality, 100% On time delivery throughstandardized work.• Review work content, scope, deliverable, timeline, resource requirements and allocate resources, monitor progress, manage communications, seek & evaluate customer feedback and drive changes as appropriate• Represent VE Body in the appropriate forums. Participate in global councils & technical team meetings and report out team accomplishments.• Capture and share lessons learned with team, Product Interface, Pre Production Operations Shopfloor engineers, VE counterparts at different regions.• Drive continuous process improvement within the team.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge• Sound knowledge in Tecnomatix Process Simulate, TcVis and Teamcenter.• Sound knowledge in PPO / Production robotic simulation and Manufacturing requirements related to Body• Fair understanding of any CAD software such as UG, CATIA, PRO-E etc.• Sound understanding of GVDP, GLP, Quality Chain, DFMEA-PFMEA.• Good knowledge of Project Management methodologies.• Sound knowledge of complete automotive body shop processes, robotic welding and material handling.• Sound knowledge of OpEx tools and different problem solving methodologies.• Sound knowledge on GM-GMS Principles and Workplace safety systems.Skills• Experienced in working with multiple interfaces to deliver the results• Basic Data analysis and research to implement process improvement opportunities.• Good verbal and written communication skills.• Problem solving & analytical skills.• Basic coding skills on process automation and business intelligence tools (C/C++, Java, VB script, Python, Power BI etc.,).Ability• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments with autonomy and accountability for results.• Ability to work with intercultural & multi-disciplinary teams to achieve enterprise goals.• High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed.• High level of interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and effectively with others.Educational Qualifications• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering discipline.Experience• 5-10 years of Body process & simulation experience from Automotive OEMs / Engineering Organizations.
