    Position summary

    esponsibilitiesOwn, understand and communicate the architectural vision and solution context acting as system architect for the ADAS HIL team.Work on a portfolio of various cross-functional projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality outcomes across diverse initiatives with evolving priorities and overlapping timelines.Lead and contribute to developing HIL models and tools for developing HIL Simulation solutions with varying fidelity and complexity.Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering domain experts, product management, and program management to ensure alignment and successful delivery of HIL products.Lead or support Epics end-to-end when required.Lead and contribute to developing simulation models (such as Plant, sensors and actuators, serial data communication and controller models) for creating HiL Test Environments.Lead and support troubleshooting integration issues with HIL bench, ECUs, and plant models.Lead and contribute to root cause analysis for defects found, including analysis of application logs and communication protocols.Communicate technical findings and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.Understand all aspects of software testing including test environment, test data, and test automation, complete software testing life cycle and Agile methodology.Lead and develop Functional and Operational requirements into test cases and simulation scenarios.Lead and support initiatives to benchmark and adopt next-generation simulation technology and tools.Ability to manage time and meet deliverable timing is critical.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Additional Description

    QualificationsMaster's degree in engineering (Automotive, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience. PhD degree preferred.10+ years of relevant engineering experience focusing on HIL Simulation development, integration, and testing.10+ years of experience with MATLAB and Simulink in context of plant model development and integration and usage of additional tools for real time simulation10+ years of experience with real time simulation and knowledge of dSPACE or other HIL platforms.10+ years of experience with serial communication protocol such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.10+ years of experience with testing tools such as INCA, Lauterbach, VSpy or CANoe.Knowledge of vehicle sensors (e.g., wheel speed sensors, accelerometers, Radars, Camera and LIDAR, Ultrasonic sensors).Experience with computer programming languages including Python and C/C++Experience working with Scrum/Agile software development process and tools.Experience with software configuration management processes (e.g., Git Ecosystem)Experience with development of advanced technology, software integration verification and validation.Experience with automotive embedded controls software integration and testing.Familiarity with ADAS features and understanding of ADAS functionality.Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.Familiarity with simulation tools like Carsim/Carmaker/ASM & VIRES.Results driven individual with high levels of initiative, urgency, and pro-activity.Able to work in a team as well as independently.Benefits Overview The goal of the General Motors of Canada total rewards program is to support the health and well-being of you and your family.
