    What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

    • Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production

    • Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production

    • Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership

    • Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation

    • Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution

    • Responsible for material flow activity (the physical movement of material from receipt through shipment)

    • Audits department records for employees, Safety documents, Ergonomics, Suggestions, Grievances, Training, Vacation, Attendance and overtime

    • Implements, monitors and maintains GMS initiatives

    • Assures compliance to internal control procedures

    • Supports production organization

    • Develops standardized work

    • Maintains clean housekeeping standard and applies 5S• Develops subordinates

    • Develops and maintains labor relationships

    • Manages floor operation

    • Ensures the material personnel are available for hazardous material training

    • Coordinates development of the BPD for floor operations

    • Communicates BPD requirements to staff members

    • Follows up and prepares required documentation for BPD reporting

    • Participates in department/functional Gap Closures Planning Process

    • Documents plans/ideas for future years BPD

    • Monitor the scorecard reporting process for input into Gap Closure Planning for current and future years

    • Provides input into budget development based on annual plans

    • Reviews and approves manpower plans (GMOS)

    Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

    • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

    • High functional capability with supply chain floor systems - MGO, EPS, PPS, VBIMS, GEPICS, WMS, etc.

    • Experience with Automated Material Delivery Systems

    • Strong understanding of supply chain and lean material processes; Logistics (LLP processes), Receiving, Internal Material Flow, Scrap, Obsolescence, etc.

    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time, with ability to meet project timelines

    • Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals

    • Previous experience supervising/leading salaried employees

    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

    • Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution

    • Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out (minimal)

    What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

    • 7+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or another Business-related field

    • Prior experience with varied Supply Chain office and floor assignments

    • Multi plant and/or multi-functional experience

    • Experience/knowledge of GM Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS)

    • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)

    • Experience with GMS SLT implementation and execution

    • Experience working in Supply Chain

    • Experience managing batch build strategies

    Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lansing Delta Assembly plant on a full-time basis.
